Manager - Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory

We are working with a leading consultancy firm based in London, who are seeking a talented Financial Accounting Advisory professional to join their growing team. Role Overview:

As a Manager in the Financial Accounting Advisory team, you will play a key role in helping clients navigate complex accounting challenges, ensuring they comply with the latest financial reporting requirements, and providing strategic guidance on financial accounting matters. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, supporting clients across a wide range of industries to enhance their financial reporting, accounting systems, and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on financial accounting matters, including the application of IFRS, UK GAAP, US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Assist clients in preparing and reviewing financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting frameworks and regulations.
• Support clients in navigating complex accounting issues such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, financial instruments, and provisions.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and regulations, ensuring clients remain compliant with any changes in the financial reporting landscape.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including client teams, auditors, and regulators.
• Provide advice on the design and optimization of internal controls and accounting processes.
• Assist clients in the preparation of financial disclosures and related reporting documentation.
• Work on project-based assignments, including system implementations, financial reporting transformations, and process improvements.
• Support clients through the audit process, providing insights on potential improvements and resolving technical accounting issues.
• Develop and deliver training sessions on accounting standards and best practices for client teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification (or equivalent experience).
• Strong experience in financial accounting and advisory roles, preferably within a professional services environment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP, and other relevant financial reporting frameworks.
• Experience in managing complex financial accounting projects and providing strategic advisory services.
• Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards to real-world client situations.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, financial reporting processes, and risk management.
• Proficiency with accounting software and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
