Change Recruitment are partnering with our client, based in Edinburgh, to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant to their team. The role will work closely with a range of complex stakeholders, partnering in both the production of Financial Statements but also facing off to board level members, finance and external parties to discuss movements, impacts and ongoing trends.
Key for this role is a being able to blend both operational finance with a wider grasp of a range of accounting issues, acting for both internal stakeholders but having an appreciation of the impact of the numbers for 3rd parties. Applicants will be qualified and demonstrate a confidence in statement preparation, with an understanding of fund valuation. Key duties of the role will include:
- Production of Financial Statements with supporting commentary and analysis for a range of stakeholders
- Presentation of key financials
- Ownership of your group of entities, taking production through to completion and liaison with audits at year end
- Involvement in new product launches and adding accounting value to the process
- Seeking out opportunity to enhance processes and controls, as well as developing reporting material to meet clients needs
- Horizon scanning and identification of key information
- Substantiation of entities and investigation of balance sheet discrepancies
- Wider adhoc projects as required, taking an active lead
Applicants for the role will have strong experience in Statement production or the auditing of financial statements under IFRS. A proactive nature and confidence in building rapport and relationships is key for the role and longer term development.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Excellent benefits package and hybrid working week.
