Vanessa Tomba

​I am originally Italian, but I have been calling Edinburgh my home for the last 10 years. I started my career in recruitment following my graduation at Edinburgh Napier University with a Human & Marketing Resources Management degree. After learning more about the sector, my decision to join the recruitment world was very much intentional. With my degree and background in luxury retail sales, it felt like a natural move. That was almost 5 years ago now. My experience focuses on the recruitment of Qualified and Part- Qualified Accountants across Scotland, with a speciality in supporting high growth SME’s.

Why do you love what you do?

Personally, nothing quite tops the feeling of being able to play a direct role in connecting people with opportunities that are aligned with their aspirations. From candidates to clients, it is wonderful to get to know new individuals and understand how I can support and add value to their career or teams. I love the fact that I get to meet new people on a daily basis, creating long lasting connections. I also really enjoy the fast-paced nature of the role – no day is the same and safe to say there will always be exciting new challenges waiting around the corner.
