About the Role - As an Audit Senior, you will play an important role in leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, liaising with clients, managing audit teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audits for a portfolio of clients across various industries.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of audit assignments in compliance with UK GAAP and auditing standards.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and feedback to support their development.
  • Review financial statements and draft reports for clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Liaise with clients on a regular basis to gather information, communicate findings, and resolve issues.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and assist clients with value-added advice.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax computations and other related work where necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry developments, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.

 

Qualifications - ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) with a solid track record in audit. Part qualified considered.

 

Required Skills

  • Significant experience in audit within a public practice firm, ideally at Senior or Semi-Senior level.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • A proactive approach, with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong organisational skills and a team-oriented attitude.
