Audit Associate

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and driven Audit Associate to join a leading professional services firm in Edinburgh. As an Audit Associate, you will play an integral role in supporting the audit team by performing audit procedures and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing audits for a diverse range of clients, including large corporates and SMEs.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and working papers.
• Support senior staff in the development of audit strategies and completion of audits from start to finish.
• Identify areas of risk and propose solutions for improvement.
• Maintain and develop client relationships through effective communication and delivery of high-quality service.
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and accounting standards.

Key Requirements:

• Part-qualified in an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or currently pursuing your qualification.
• Some experience in audit or accounting (ideally 1-3 years) is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and career development.
