Business Analyst

Are you an experienced Business Analyst ?

Have you worked in the UK Market Clearing or Custody environments ?

Do you have a good understanding of the Software Development lifecycle ?

If so I would like to hear from you as I am recruiting for a leading global financial services organisation in Glasgow who are growing the team.

Its hybrid working (50/50 split) so you need to live within commuting distance of Glasgow.

Role responsibilities include:

• Ensuring business objectives are achieved through the development of operating models and technologies.
• Representing both the business and the technology capability for UK local solutions
• Facing off to internal stakeholders (local and offshore) and external stakeholders (clients, prospects, vendors/suppliers, industry groups, media).
• Developing engineering capability (methodologies, staff skills, structures, systems and management disciplines) used to operate the business and clients.  
• Analysing existing end-to-end business processes and data-flows, as well as new business information requirements.
• Defining problem areas and translating these into business requirements.
• Documenting recommendations for new and improved processes and systems changes.
• Liaising with internal IT teams and/or external IT vendors.
• Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics.
• Quality management

Required experience should include:

• Good understanding of the UK market clearing and custody environments
• Experience in change management, business analysis or process development and/or consulting role
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
• Experience with large-scale organisational change efforts
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere
• Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
• Problem solving and root cause identification skills
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

Advantageous experience:

• Understanding of the Software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of SWIFT, Corporate Actions, Broker Dealing or Fidessa Post trade activity
