Financial Control Systems Analyst

Change Financial Services are partnering with our client to recruit a Finance Systems Analyst to their team. A unique role in working closely with a range of stakeholders in Finance, Treasury and wider operational support to blend systems knowledge with finance acumen to delivery support and enhancements to the department.

Due to the nature of the work, applicants will ideally have a grounding in finance, either through their degree or with career experience to date and be looking to move into a systems focused position that will utilise this. Finance Systems experience on integration, first line support or a background in being the SME in your current role will be expected along with handling finance queries and questions to evolve reporting outputs and user experience.

Key duties of the role will include;

• Working across a range of finance and treasury systems to resolve and take ownership for issues as they arise
• Engaging with stakeholders to add value through their reporting and enhancements to system usage
• Working to develop SME knowledge and be the first point of contact
• Maintaining relevant systems and the chart of accounts for the client, performing a range of reconciliations and checks on a daily and monthly basis
• Creating bespoke reports from a range of systems, taking guidance from the business on outputs required
• Enhancing current reporting or system functionality where possible – taking a keen interest in this and leading on your own workstack
• Advanced excel skills and comfortable with a range of data analysis tools

Applicants will be able to show an interest and passion for this area and have strong written and communication skills. A proactivity to engage and question how systems can be enhanced, coupled with translating this into actionable outputs will be expected as the role holder develops and progresses in the post.
