Financial Accountant

Change Accountancy and Finance are supporting our global technology solutions client, based in Glasgow, to recruit a Financial Accountant to their team. A role with scope to enhance current processes and put your own stamp on it, will be responsible for the delivery of month end reporting and board commentary, as well as developing the month end timetable and framework further.

Applicants will be qualified and posses a knowledge of statutory reporting or have a solid grounding in audit, being an ideal first step out of practice in to industry and a client with a global reach and investor model. Duties of the role will cover the following core areas;

• Preparation of month end financials with balance sheet commentary and review
• Ensuring the smooth delivery of month end timetable, working closely with a range of stakeholders in the business
• Consolidating and reviewing postings, investigating discrepancies further where necessary
• Leading on year end reporting and statutory filings for the company
• Involvement in a range of projects to automate and streamline processes and controls as well as simplifying reporting structures
• Offering support to wider team including treasury and management reporting
• Taking a lead on controls and procedures for the finance department and enhancing where possible

The role will be wide ranging and suit someone who can mix being hands on with their delivery, as well as taking ownership for projects and outcomes to enhance controls where possible. Excellent interpersonal skills are expected as well as a confidence working with excel and other tools. Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + strong benefits and bonus potential
