Audit Associate (Glasgow)
Client: Leading National Accountancy Firm
We are excited to partner with a top national accountancy firm in Glasgow that is seeking a talented Audit Associate to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified professional eager to advance their career in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements for limited companies, LLPs, and charities, beginning at the trial balance stage.
- Support the execution of statutory audits, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Conduct analytical procedures and aid in the assessment of financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with senior team members to identify, address, and resolve issues throughout the audit process.
- Maintain and update working papers, ensuring all documentation meets auditing standards.
- Engage in client meetings, effectively communicating to gather necessary information for audit procedures.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of audit processes and team practices.
Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified in ACCA/ICAS or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Previous experience in an audit role, preferably within an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and statutory audit processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to foster relationships with clients and colleagues.
