Audit Advisor (Edinburgh)
Join a Leading Mid-Market Accountancy Firm
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Audit Advisor to join our clients Edinburgh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role in a dynamic mid-market accountancy firm, delivering high-quality audit services to a diverse client base while advancing your professional career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and complete audit work in line with internal processes and procedures, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to budget, with guidance from senior team members.
- Take ownership of planning, fieldwork, and completion of audits, playing a pivotal role in the audit team while managing delivery expectations and flagging issues early.
- Handle more complex audit areas during fieldwork, seeking guidance where necessary and escalating queries to senior team members.
- Actively participate in planning and clearance meetings, preparing relevant materials, contributing to discussions, and addressing queries from both the audit team and clients.
- Serve as the main point of contact on-site during audit fieldwork, addressing client queries and identifying opportunities where other service lines could provide additional support.
Key Requirements:
- ACCA/ICAS newly qualified or part-qualified.
- Previous experience in a similar audit role, with a good understanding of audit processes.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role, demonstrating the ability to build strong relationships and manage client expectations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and professionally.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
