Accounts Senior/Assistant Manager – Not-for-Profit/Charity Team (Edinburgh)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Accounts Senior/Assistant Manager to join our clients dedicated Not-for-Profit/Charity team. If you're passionate about supporting charities and want to play a key role in providing top-tier financial services to the not-for-profit sector, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio of charity and not-for-profit clients, ensuring their financial needs are met to the highest standards.
- Lead the preparation of statutory accounts for charities, ensuring compliance with the Charities SORP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee and review bookkeeping, and management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Take a proactive role in audit and independent examination engagements for charity clients.
- Work closely with senior management and partners to develop and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team, contributing to their development and ensuring high-quality work.
- Identify areas where additional services can support clients in meeting their goals and furthering their charitable impact.
Key Requirements:
- Part-qualified ACCA/ICAS or equivalent, with a commitment to completing your qualification.
- Proven experience working with charity and not-for-profit clients within an accountancy firm.
- Strong understanding of the Charities SORP and relevant accounting standards.
- A genuine passion for the charity sector, with the ability to understand the unique challenges charities face.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
